My baby is 42 weeks old!

I get weekly emails from Parents.com telling about the stages of growth and development to expect for Susanna. In this week's, like every week, the subject line said "Your baby is # weeks old," but this week's # was 42...and I realized, she has now been outside in the world longer than she was "on the inside"! What a big milestone. I am constantly amazed at how she is learning and growing. She stands on her own pretty well these days, and is clapping and giggling and jargoning in her own little language. I think she's going to be a talker. I wonder where she got that.



We got an outdoor swing and hung it from our back porch this week - Susanna is in love! I was pushing her for 40 minutes last night, and when I went to get her out, she bawled! She loved her little infant swing, so I guess it makes sense that she would be equally enamored. Unfortunately this one doesn't run on batteries while I do something else! We did get to have our first dinner outside on our porch while she was swinging, which was so nice. Since our patio at the apartment was impossible to balance a chair on (the concrete looked like the Hulk tried to break out from below through the concrete slabs), we toasted to our first outdoor meal at home since we've been married.
